We have more than
just resources

As the past year's preliminary results have shown, Moscow's export potential indicates it can fulfil the goals of the national project for "International cooperation and export." According to the Moscow Department Of Investment And Industrial Policy, for 11 months of 2019, the volume of non-resource-based and non-energy exports (NNE) from Moscow increased by 23.84% and amounted to 26.18 billion usd.
In recent years, Russian exports have been outgrowing imports. According to Creditinform analysts, after 2016, exports increased annually by about 25%. This resulted from easily-identifiable causes: competitive price advantages in foreign markets, suitable product quality, as well as state policy creating special institutions to support exporters, which altogether have formed ideal conditions for domestic exports.
DATA FROM 11 MONTHS OF 2019 INDICATE THAT

MANUFACTURERS WERE EXPORTED TO 195 COUNTRIES
Today, Moscow is the regional leader in terms of export volume. Its share of capital in total Russian exports last year exceeded 40%, 16% of which were NNE. Data from 11 months of 2019 indicate that non-resource-based products from Moscow manufacturers were exported to 195 countries.

The United Kingdom sits in first place among the key countries importing Moscow goods (4.4 billion USD), while Belarus holds second place (2.5 billion USD). The next top importers are Kazakhstan, the USA, and Turkey. Despite the "sanctions wars," the volume of exports from Moscow to the United States increased by 22.82% compared to the same period last year (January to November).
PICASO 3D, a Moscow-based 3D printer manufacturer, has signed Letters of Intent with five Chinese distributors at the China International Import Expo 2019. The Letters envision the supply of products and their use in industry. The Designer X PRO 3D printer from Moscow was developed three years ago and has only a few competitors in the world.
It should be known that well-developed support infrastructure continues to help Moscow companies establish themselves in new markets. For example, the export of agricultural and industrial products from Moscow to China during the first half of 2019 increased by more than 40% compared to the same period in 2018. It is worth noting that, in addition to agricultural products, the most popular export categories for Asia included computers and their components, radio and television equipment, and measuring instruments.
